I've always had a fascination with Dr. Seuss books. Some of my favorite books by Dr. Seuss include: The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss' ABC's, Horton Hears A Who, Hop On Pop, and of course Green Eggs and Ham. I must admit, I've always wondered what the eggs looked like in person and more importantly, what they tasted like.
Carnival's Seuss at Sea program takes kids straight into the world of Dr. Seuss! And believe me, it's just as much for the parents as it is for the kiddies. And they have this cool photo op set up even before you enter the dining hall. The Decor
Decorated in bright Dr. Seuss colors, each table is totally themed out with blue, red, and white pom poms and a formal place setting for each guest.
The napkins are even in the shape of the cat in the hat's bow-tie.
The Menu
The adult menu looks and reads like a Dr. Seuss book with food based on the timeless stories.
The kid's menu has a blank page for stamped autographs from the characters.
First they take your drink order, which is a choice of Moose Juice (orange) or Goose Juice (apple). Next you get a choice of either strawberry or kiwi parfait.

Then comes the fun part. We ordered Horton's Cereal Crusted French Toast, gravity-defying Cat in the Hat Pancakes, and of course Green Eggs and Ham. And I must say, even though the eggs were bright green, they still tasted like regular eggs.
The Characters
In between each serving, whimsical Seuss characters make appearances throughout breakfast, visiting each table where you can get pictures with each one and also get autographs.
This was a GREAT experience for us. Seuss at Sea is offered on the last sea day and the price for this special breakfast runs $5.00 per person, which is a GREAT value!
You can sign up in the Guest Relations area. And if this is something you think you might want to do, I highly encourage you to sign up either before you board the ship, or as soon as you begin your cruise, as this experience is quite popular with the kids. Parents love it too, as it brings back fond memories of childhood. And honestly, you don't have to have kids to enjoy this breakfast. There were plenty of single adults who signed up and enjoyed it just as much as the kids. Suess at Sea will be something you and/or your kids will remember forever.
