Have You Visited Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival Yet?

Spring is finally in the air and summer is right around the corner! You know what this means? Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival is almost over. Have you been yet?
Picture
I know what you're thinking...flowers aren't really my thing, so how exciting can this festival be? Believe me, I thought the same thing. In fact, I avoided this particular festival at Epcot for many years, just because I thought it would be boring.
Picture
Truth is, I didn't even know the festival would be going on during my recent visit. If I had've known, I probably would have rescheduled my visit. But I'm so glad I didn't, because this festival is when the park is at it's most beautiful!
Picture
"Wow," I remember thinking to myself as I stood at Epcot's entrance, staring at these beautiful, over-sized floral butterflies, "What a breathtaking view!"
Picture
And it only gets better from here. As you leisurely stroll through the park, you encounter dozens of living Disney characters made from flowers and topiaries. The exquisite attention to detail literally blew me away!
Picture
These lovely creations are very popular, and people stood in long lines just to take selfies. You'll also find PhotoPass photographers ready to take your picture with the topiaries.

These characters were masterfully created and pruned by Disney horticulturists. Some of their creations include:
  • Mickey & Minnie Mouse (near Showcase Plaza)
  • Daisy Duck (near Spaceship Earth)
  • Anna & Elsa (near Norway Pavilion)
  • Beauty & the Beast (at France Pavilion)
  • Lightening McQueen & Mater (near Test Track)
  • Huey, Dewey & Louie (near Showcase Plaza Towers)
  • Pluto & Goofy (near Future World & World Showcase)
  • And so much more!

They change up the designs a bit each year and add new characters, so even if you come year-after-year you'll never get bored.
Picture
Best part is, there's no need for a special ticket to get into this event. The festival, including all the awesome Disney character topiaries, Gardening Programs & Special Exhibits, is included in Epcot's regular park admission.
Picture
Not to mention, there's over 100 of these topiary beauties all over the park, which will keep even the most finicky child interested.

Once you visit Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival, held every spring, you'll never want to miss another one! It is worth every penny! The festival will stick around through June 3rd, so if you can, check it out and see what's budding. (sorry, I had to!!!)
What is your favorite festival at Epcot?
